It may not be immediately obvious, but resurfacing and refinishing are very different services.

Refinishing is an extensive service and starts with sanding the floors to remove the finish and a very thin layer of wood. We then rebuild the surface of the floor by staining, finishing and polishing. Refinishing enables us to remove deep scratches, grooves, stains and other signs of heavy wear.

Resurfacing is used when there’s not as much damage to the floors; we buff the current finish, apply new finish and polish to a glow. If your wood floors have been covered with carpet, this is often all that’s necessary.
